I'm not too sure, since that wasn't the option that I was going with so I did not look into it. But you can go to their website for cost and payment information. sorry it's Beliteweight.

@India2020 if you are considering having surgery in Mexico you might want to add Dr. Selim Jalil Illan to your research.

https://hospitalbc.com/dr-jalil-illan/

Dr. Selim Jalil Illan has been designated as a Master Surgeon in Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, by the Surgical Review Corporation based out of Raleigh, North Carolina United States of America.

Also, Hospital BC is the only US owned hospital in Mexico!

Please feel free calling me 619-900-7808 or emailing me Bill@hospitalbc.com if you have any questions.

Could I get clarification. Is Dr. Jalil illan with Hospital BC or Bariatric pal MX LLC? Has he changed locations, or did they change the hospitals name?

I agree. Please do your research and be wary of any practice in Mexico that charges less than $4600 USD.

Ask for certifications and accreditations for both the Surgeon and the Hospital. These are fairly easy to confirm online. Look for surgeon accreditations like FACS, ASMBS, SRC Surgeon of Excellence and SRC Master Surgeon in Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.

As for the Hospital. Make sure it is a FULL-Service Hospital and not a clinic or surgery center. Clinics and surgery centers are not equipped to handle serious complications. Their accreditations and certifications include SRC Center of Excellence in Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, as well as Local, State and Federal certifications.

I had a MGB at Hospital BC 3 weeks ago. Everything went fine. I paid $140 RT airfare, $5900 for surgery ($4600 for sleeve) I stayed in hospital all week and even had a tour of Tijuana. I did have to pay $65 for blood thinners injections to take home but that's not too bad. They picked me up from airport and brought me back to the airport. If I would've had a companion, he/she would've stayed in the same room as me bcuz they have an extra bed in there for guests. I'm thinking about using them for plastic surgery once the weight loss is done making me look fantastic. Lol

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
