Blender that purees

Recommended Posts

Can anyone recommend a small blender which is powerful enough to actually puree meats and vegetables?

Thanks,

JanL

Nutra Bullet will puree meat

Now if you have a little extra money get a Vita Mix and you are done for life it will shred anything and make a hell of a smoothie or Protein Drink.

I use a food processor on meat works a little better then a mixer -

@AJ Tylo Thanks for reply. Vitamix is out of my price range. I do have an old Cusinart food processor, but it's a pain to wash and large and rather heavy. I am thinking a small blender like Nutri Bullet will make the small portions I will need through the "puree" phase.

Any experience with the Ninja's?

Happy Thanksgiving + 1!

Do you really have to put the meat in a blender for purée. I was hoping to just mash it with a fork. I guess I need to look at some recipes and examples.

It is a smoother better product if you use a food processor vs a shake mixer but a nurta bullet works

I just made a ton of egg rolls and spring rolls today and the meat is perfectly chopped. I am also a chef and was trained to use a food processor, I agree the vita mix is expensive but look on Facebook i have seen them for as low as 30 bucks -

LOVE our ninja so much we have 2. One for the smaller cups for single Protein Shakes and a bigger one. Only problem is that the blades seem to dull quite quickly - we're usually replacing or sharpening the blade once a year.

Brandless also has a blender that supposedly compares with the vitamix for far less.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
