All inclusive Cocktails

Recommended Posts

I'm going on my first vacation since my vgs surgery and it's an all inclusive resort. Are there any low calorie cocktails that I can drink? This will also be my first time drinking alcohol since my surgery 6 months ago-a little nervous and excited...

You should pack a couple bottles of mixer like: Skinny Girl mixers also Baja Bob's. Then you could always order a shot over ice and add your mixer. They have all kinds!

Anything distilled has the least carbs and calories (gin, vodka, tequila, etc..).

It's the mixers that you need to be wary of.

Best bet is to drink it straight up OR ask for it with either Water or soda water (NOT tonic water, lots of cals) and add lots of lime or add a couple drops of sugar-free water enhancers.

Very dry wine is relatively low in carbs and cals too.

AJ. No preachin, but you are flirting with the devil. And you're basically forkin your WL. There WILL come a time when the losses stop. And you are so gungho about changing your diet, but you need to look at the attitude to booze. I'm no saint, but I also know it's a fine line.

I agree working on it - Problem is love that Friday Vodka and juice to close out a week. I agree and have to really stop the fun, This is probably the hardest thing to stop doing plus i hate being told i cant do it so my rebel side comes out, Decided today to skip the after work cocktail hour and just go home. The diet and food thing is easy - Its the perks that are a b***h like Diet Coke, Vodka, Rootbeer. Tropical smoothie.

Ok Im going to go cry and curl in the corner - Just kidding Have a great weekend

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
