catwoman7 11,220 Posted November 20, 2019 I had cough drops when I was early out. I got the sugar free kind, though 1 FluffyChix reacted to this
Midnightsun 129 Posted November 20, 2019 Hi, at 4 weeks I was cleared for a regular diet. I would do sugar free. Good luck to you! That is awesome weight loss so far! 2 lvidacovich and FluffyChix reacted to this

Some substitutes like erythritol can cause gas and loose stools. Especially if eating too many products with it. 2 FluffyChix and Midnightsun reacted to this

Same here, it was just yesterday for me. I'm amazed at how long some of the nuts and docs keep people on puree and liquids and such. I think there's good research showing moving to real foods faster helps you tolerate them better. 2 LadyVS and Midnightsun reacted to this
Caltania 218 Posted November 20, 2019 Pretty early on I was cleared to have sugar free candies or cough drops, though as other users have suggested, you may not want to have too many at any given time, since they can cause some digestive upset if you have too much at once... But they're great for the occasional mouth distraction!
med28thmed 118 Posted November 20, 2019 I did. Congratulations btw, great job so far!!!
Briswife15 890 Posted November 21, 2019 I use Hall's sugar free cough drops with no GI upset. I had RNY by the way. I would not try the ones with sugar!Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app
