Motocrossgirly 0 Posted December 20, 2007 Hi! Let me introduce myself. I am Tiffany, 36, married (hubby #2),2 daughters. 1 - 16 years old & 1- 4 years old & YES THEY FIGHT all the time! I work full time as sales operatios & logistics specialist for Philips Consumer Electronics in Atlanta, GA. I am from Southern California (Riverside County) (relocated to GA, 3 years ago because of my husband). Have struggled with my weight most of my life. Was thin in High School gained 100+lbs after high school & then lost 110 lbs on weight watchers 10 years ago. Kept the weight off for 5 years & then let it creep out of control again when I met & fell in my love with my current hubby. Thats it for me. Enjoying this journey since being banded on 12/13/2007. Thanks for sharing everyone!
dandydeb 0 Posted December 20, 2007 I was so thrilled to be at the hospital and geting this done. I think my husband was more worried about it that me. I am now on my second day postop. Wish I could say ifeel great, but i don't. Each day will bet better I am sure. Now to get through Christmas. I will definately not b lke most of my Christmas's. But it is about baby Jesus anyway. michiganer 0 Posted December 21, 2007 It will get better Deb, I promise. For me, I didn't feel better until almost weeks two. Other people heal much faster than I do though. None of our Chritmases will ever be the same. I just keep thinking, "I wonder what my Christmas will be like next year? I will be a different person!". I hope you heal quickly! Ann D 0 Posted December 26, 2007 Hi all, My name is Ann I am 38 years old and married for 1 year. However Iahve been with my DH for over 17 years. Better late then never I must say. My DH has 5 children I have none. I work in Law AEnforcemtn in the St. Louis, MO area. I had LapBand surgery on Dec 13th. The main reasons were Health. I have (had) very High Blood Pressure (However, have already come off my meds.) and my mother recently became insulin dependant diabetic. I knew it was just a matter of time for me. I also need to be more active for work and the excess weight has given me a lot of problems. My DH and I love to travel and the extra weight doesn't help there either. I want to be healthier and more active. I'm glad I did it and I'm happy I found this site.
JaxFab44 0 Posted December 26, 2007 I had a bad breakup and have been depressed and feeling bad about myself for 2 months. I am divorced and have 1 child. 2 months ago, I weighed 196. I now weigh 210 and I am about 5'5 and wearing size 16's again. To have someone you loved for 2 years break your heart by saying such nasty things is unbearable at times. I want this lapband surgery for myself not for him. I want to be able to feel confident and marvelous. One thing I have going for me is that I have a great career, I drive a brand new 2008 Sky and I don't look my age, 43 so I am optimistic about my future. It just really hurts right now. So I will stop my whinning. I look forward to meeting someone who is not a Dee Dee Dee.

AudricIan 0 Posted December 27, 2007 I am Nicole. I am married with 2 wonderful boys. My DH still doesn't know that I had the surgery. It has been easy to hide for me. I had it done on 12/6. I started eating solids yesterday and I must say that I am ready for a fill, all of that food went down a little too easy. I was waiting until after the Holidays to tell my hubby, I didn't want to ruin Christmas. My recovery was a breeze, he (my DH) didn't even know anything was wrong with me. I did not get gas pains, I was a little sore for 3-4 days but nothing stopped me. Nice to meet everyone. Anyone else have their sx the 1st week of December???? How are you doing with your recovery??? saleel22 0 Posted December 27, 2007 Hi everyone, I have been married for almost 34 years. I'm 52, have 1 daughter and 3 sons and 3 grandsons. I live in Australia. I am being banded on the 16th January 2008. I'm very excited about this and also very nervous about this very big life changing experience. Reading lots of forums has made me realise that this is the best thing for me to do. Good luck everyone. Saleel
saleel22 0 Posted December 28, 2007 Hi Nicole, Firstly good luck on being banded. How on earth did you do this without your husband knowing? Secondly why didn't you want him to know? I am finding it hard not to tell any one but at least my husband knows about it, I am counting on him for moral support.not only that he does most of our cooking so he has to know what I can have. Good luck to you. saleel
ebar822 0 Posted December 29, 2007 I'm 27 years old and single, living in NYC. I am a middle school English teacher (lots of teachers on here!!). I've been overweight my whole life, obese in high school and rocketed into morbid obesity once beginning college. I have lost 29 pounds to date and I am so excited about this journey. I can't wait to begin a workout regimen, although I was told I can only walk for exercise for the next few weeks. I am a little over a week out of surgery and I'm about to dust off my treadmill and start that walking! And I'm very much looking forward to the pureed food stage....can't wait until Thursday!!! hahaha...
