yeti yeti 2 Posted November 16, 2019 Anyone here in law enforcement, I am looking for the average recovery time to light duty, and then full duty.Sent from my SM-N975U using BariatricPal mobile app
justmetj 421 Posted November 17, 2019 If you're lucky enough to be in a department that offers light duty you could be back after a week or two. If not, and you're having to wear a Sam Browne with all your equipment plus a ballistic vest and running down suspects then the full six weeks is a must. ahillig 136 Posted November 23, 2019 I'm a paramedic and nurse and was back to work as a nurse on the floor a week after surgery, but I had plenty of people to help me move patients and such. As a paramedic, I went back after about 4 weeks. My surgeon was ok with me going back as a nurse but wanted at least a month off as a medic.
Krimsonbutterflies 661 Posted November 24, 2019 Thank you both for your service as first Responders. Please take care of yourself first and foremost, then get back to caring for us when you are 100%.
