Are you vomiting or do you have an upset stomach? You may want to call your dietician for options and malnutrition concerns

I'm not vomiting I just get the upset stomach where it hurts and feel like I'm gonna vomit so I stop because I don't wanna cause any damage because my surgery is so fresh

Are you drinking slowly? taking small sips then setting it down?

Yes that's all I do is sip I fill the 1oz cup they give at the hospital and I take sips from there and after every sip I wait about 5 min and it turns my stomach to where if I keep going I'm going to throw up

What brand are you drinking? Before my surgery I was trying out Premier Protein Water, with no problem. However AFTERWARDS, I couldn't stand it! I found it to be much too sweet. I had to split the bottle & mix it with equal parts water.

I found Protein 2O, which I find to be much better. The Grape & berry flavors are my favorite. I don't care for the pineapple/coconut one as much. I get them from Rite-Aid.

Perhaps a different brand might help.

Protein 20 is what I tried along with the primer. Then the milky shakes and a few different powder ones. They all don't sit right with me. I've spent so much money on different things that I don't know anymore.

I don't like the milky shakes & powders either. I'm sorry you're having a hard time finding something that works for you.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
