pssk 225 Posted November 5, 2019 All of them...the multi, the Iron and to a lesser extent the cal citrate. They are making me nauseated. I am presently on Bariativ and I have tried the Barimelt Cal Citrate. The Bariactiv costs me nothing with my insurance. Sigh... 1 1 GreenTealael and FluffySaysForkIt! reacted to this

2Bsmaller18 436 Posted November 5, 2019 I had to break the chewable one into a few pieces, purposely put the pieces at the back of my mouth and grind them up, take a swig of Water and try to swallow without tasting it. Then I immediately brushed my teeth. I stated on ProCare ones to swallow around the 2-3 month mark. I would put it in warm water for a few minutes do it was softer and easier to swallow. 2 FluffySaysForkIt! and gwoodgm reacted to this

FluffySaysForkIt! 823 Posted November 5, 2019 I couldn't stand the chewables either. It wasn't just a bad taste while taking it thing for me, either. Instead it was HOURS & HOURS of gag worthy burping/ stomach upset and therefor tasting it all. day. long. 😱 I don't know if you are early enough out to require "no pill" type options or not. I actually used these pictured below, even early on, by emptying the capsules and chasing them quick with Water. It was still briefly pretty nasty, but it gave me a lot less in the way of tasting and burping it for hours later afterward, at least. I just swallow these whole now, so MUCH easier. I got the OKs from both my Doctor and my nutritionist to use this formula before I tried it, but check with yours to be sure works for your situation if you decide to try them. You can also check the store here on BP for some really good Vitamin options! Hope you find what works for you- hang in there!
pssk 225 Posted November 5, 2019 The weird thing is that they didn’t seem bad in the beginning and now I am nauseated by them for a while after ingesting them. The Vitamin taste is really intense. I’m hoping this passes but I will discuss with my doctor at my one month to see if I can switch to swallowing pills.< br />
Briswife15 890 Posted November 5, 2019 I use Bariatric Advantage chewables and actually like the taste! Shop around til you find a brand that doesn't make you nauseous. Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app
mcfluffington 179 Posted November 5, 2019 I take my meds and Vitamins with a yogurt. It keeps me from getting nauseated. A Protein Shake works as well.
AJ Tylo 1,399 Posted November 5, 2019 Im on your side i hate hard vitamins! however you have to get Vitamins - Switch to the powdered Vitamins they work for me much easier and i just mix them in my shakes, See the black tub from GNC it has a female version also, One scoop is way more powerful then your multi Vitamin. I truly think you guys need to look at these Multi Vitamins - You are not getting what you need. Pay attention to the absorption rates, daily needs and what you burn off just living. I don't take all of these every day but that white machine disperses them at set times and days. Trust me I am not a doctor but you get this Vit/Min/Supplements in order you will be loving life
catwoman7 11,220 Posted November 5, 2019 check to see if you can take regular (non-chewable) ones at this point. A lot of surgeons don't require chewable versions for all that long. The only chewable I took was my multi. I actually stayed on it much longer than I was required to. 1 sillykitty reacted to this

SorryNameTaken 85 Posted November 5, 2019 I take Bariatric Advantage and don't mind them at all right now. I have the same problem where I can take Vitamins for a while and then all of a sudden they start making me sick and I don't know why, so I regularly change my vitamins. The very first one I took as a sample made my stomach upset, but after that, they haven't bothered me at all. I hope you find something that works for you! Maybe your insurance has some other options that may work!

It holds ten different vitamins - I have blood work done to see where I am at so i rotate thru all those vitiamins - My biggest is B12 and all the energy increasing vitamins. I can set my levels now so close to perfect its became a game. One thing i found out if you dont get them all in line you feel sluggish and look like death. I don't eat very much less then 500 calories a day at best, Mainly because i hate food.
