Butterfly#7 65 Posted October 31, 2019 Today is Halloween and exactly 5 months since my vgs surgery! Im down almost 70 pounds. No tricks, but I did allow myself to have a treat- some bread! Not something I will eat every day but I was excited because I thought I could never eat bread again! Not going to lie I also had some ice cream. Im going to get back in line and head to the gym tomorrow. Gotta have some fun right?Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app 1 Orchids&Dragons reacted to this
nenes78 528 Posted October 31, 2019 (edited) My nutritionist talked recently about the holidays coming up and all the food. She did say there is no bad food, we need to take it all in moderation and to be accountable to our decisions. She said you don't fall off the wagon, you chose to eat a food that is not the best thing for you but it was a conscious choice and to be mindful and in the moment when you do, enjoy a small piece or bite, there is no need for seconds or a huge serving. She says there is nothing wrong to enjoy something once in a while, just don't do it daily/weekly. For example at birthdays when offered cake I ask for a sliver slice, or share with a loved one, I take a bite, savor it and be done with it.
