Sunshine2020 2 Posted October 30, 2019 60 days? Wow. Ok so move move move . Got it!! Thank you 😊 When does swallowing liquid get easier? I don’t like the way it feels when Water hits my stomach. Although I’m a week Post Op, I can’t help but think If water (even when warm) feels this way going down, how am I suppose to tolerate thicker liquid?
Sunshine2020 2 Posted November 3, 2019 I’m 12 days post op and I’ve only lost 10 pounds , I’ve followed the liquid intake the best I can, I’m drinking thinned/strained out broth/cream of chicken and Tomato Soup, I’ve been walking when I can. I’m so scared that I’ve hit a plateau already. I’ve gotten use to seeing a 2 pound loss every few days. What if I’ve only lost Water weight ? Should I be walking more? Trying to burn more calories? Am I being too paranoid?

Hop_Scotch 1,633 Posted November 10, 2019 You have lost 19lb since your operation? Or was some of that due to the pre-op diet? It wasn't that long ago you lost about 10lb. Are you weighing daily? How long since you have lost weight?
Sunshine2020 2 Posted November 10, 2019 I’ve lost 10 pre op, and 9 post . I’m weighing daily . The last time I lost 3 pounds was 11/3. I looked at the calendar and it’s only been 18 days. I know I’m being impatient. I’m also worried that I’m doing something wrong or not doing enough.

Have you progressed to the next stage in the post op food stages in the last week? If you haven't you may want to check in with your doctor or dietician making sure you are eating the correct volume of food. Typically for a lot of people there is a stall when they progress to the next stage of food...liquids to pureed/softs foods and pureed/soft foods to solid foods. Hormonal issues may also cause stalls or high weight loss on the weeks (eg in the few days before a period is due to start). It may also be useful if you share your typical day's menu with volumes so that some of the sleeve veterans may be able to offer the benefit of their experience and may some tweaks. BQCadet 11 Posted November 20, 2019 Once you start phase 2 you should really only be losing about a pound or two per week. And your weight loss will fluctuate. There was one week where I only lost half a pound and then the next week I lost 4. It varies. DON'T WEIGH DAILY. Weigh yourself weekly.
