evilpixie20 9 Posted October 29, 2019 I'll be 3 weeks post OP tomorrow and my incision glue is still on. I've tag it should only stay like a week. Should I do something to take it off at this point? It is starting to peel at the edges a little.
NCmomof3_fightsback 12 Posted October 29, 2019 My surgeon told me once I’m two weeks post op to just put a little Vaseline on the incision sites and it will slowly soften the glue. 1 evilpixie20 reacted to this

momof3_angels 465 Posted October 30, 2019 I wiped mine with a wet wash cloth and then gently pulled it off at 3 weeks. Incision should be well closed by now.Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app 1 evilpixie20 reacted to this
catwoman7 11,220 Posted October 30, 2019 I was told to just let it come off on its own. It took about four weeks.
S@ssen@ch 745 Posted October 30, 2019 It's normal for surgical glue or steri-strips to take more than a week. I think it took nearly a month for mine to be completely off! Do not "pick" or "pull" at the frayed edges. Simply trim them with a pair of clean scissors (like cuticle scissors if you have them). 1 HappyHikerGal reacted to this
Mary Knits 1 Posted November 2, 2019 I had a surgery that used it this past summer - it stays around forever, and by “forever” I mean weeks. Just leave it until it drys up and flakes off naturally as you’re toweling off, getting dressed etc. At a certain point only little bits were left and I felt confident picking them off, but not the parts over the incision.
