colleen156 14 Posted October 27, 2019 I am going crazy. I had my surgery 10/22. I feel no different. I have no trouble drinking, getting my Protein in anything. Is there something wrong with me? I have been having my Soups Clear Liquids. Am I doing something wrong? Can I have pudding at this stage? I am so confused and overwhelmed.

Guest Posted October 27, 2019 I was the same,,,,I tried pudding on the clear liquid stage,it did not kill me. I do not recommend it because everyone is different. then again I was eating anything I wanted by week 3 except for steak and pork chops.

I promise you this will all feel differently in a month. I'm 5 months out & your post reminded me that I felt exactly the same at your stage. Like... wondering if I even had the surgery of if I was just some placebo test case lol. As far as what you can eat, that's different for everyone. Every doctor seems to have a different program. Did they send you home with any material/instructions? If not call them tomorrow!
Jay19 76 Posted October 28, 2019 I’m glad you brought this up. I feel like I have a stomach of steel and I can have anything. And I mean anything! I try and just eat low carb and I’ve lost 30 pounds in 8 weeks. The doctors do recommend the diet in stages to allow your stomach to heal. I was only on Clear Liquids for 1 day which was surgery day and then full liquids for 2 weeks.

It’s normal to feel hunger in the first stages. Let your body heal from surgery. Managing hunger will get better as you progress out to real food. Follow your food phase instructions. You can always call your team to get clarification and ask if you can bump phases.
