HappyHikerGal 132 Posted October 23, 2019 I'm still pre-op, but just want to extend some love and light. Sometimes our feelings about this process have nothing to do with our appearance or number on the scale. Try and speak out and know that the depressed feelings will likely wash over you like a wave. Maybe get out into nature for a bit. But if you don't feel better after some time, reach out to a therapist or your primary care physician. Depression is common and easily treated with therapy or medication. 2 FluffyChix and llfonseca reacted to this
AZhiker 2,253 Posted October 24, 2019 Exercise! It is empowering and something you can control - because goodness knows that is so much about all of this we can't control. Start with small goals, but get moving. The endorphins will do wonders for your mood. One of the best remedies for depression. 1 llfonseca reacted to this
rs 1,473 Posted October 26, 2019 Yes it's normal for your mood to dip at times. This is a journey for all of us both physically and mentally. Our bodies and minds need time to adjust. Just keep following your plan. Sending good wishes to you for better days ahead. 1 llfonseca reacted to this
