Albus 130 Posted October 11, 2019 Anyone out there into cycling? I just bought myself a bike and keen to do some long rides next summer. How do you all keep fueled? 1 Lynda486 reacted to this
AZhiker 2,253 Posted October 12, 2019 I use RX bars because 1) they are gluten free, and 2) they have enough Protein to slow the cab absorption. I cannot eat the high carb stuff for fear of dumping, but lots of Water and the RX bars seem to work for me. I will be doing a distance ride next month and will train using the RX bar plan. 1 Albus reacted to this
New&Improved 1,780 Posted October 12, 2019 I use an exercise bike myself not the same but I just have my Protein Shake before or after because the first few times I got a little light headed.. 1 AZhiker reacted to this
Stella S 612 Posted October 12, 2019 I use Protein Bars. Never gone further than 60 miles or so bthough. Hydration is more my battle. Enjoy. B 1 AZhiker reacted to this
Albus 130 Posted October 31, 2019 Cheers guys - I’ve entered this race in April so I’ve got some work to do, nothing like having a target to get one motivated 😂 https://www.etapelochness.com/ 1 1 AZhiker and Lynda486 reacted to this
Meryline 546 Posted November 11, 2019 I'm a spinning instructor, but also a distance runner. I have tried out so many different things for fules during my long runs. What works for me is actually sour candy. I know it sounds strange, but I start out around 30 min into the race and take one piece every km. That along with electrolyte drinks works for me. What is important is that you try out different things for your long rides way in advance of your race. Nothing new on race day or the week prior. 1 AZhiker reacted to this
