Is anyone else locking at a dec/ Jan surgery date who wants to be friends and support each other.

I'm scheduled for December 30. I would love to become friends and keep in touch.[emoji4]

Me! Hi! I hope for a January date. I have one more session to attend, have to schedule my EKG, blood work, and see my primary dr. in December, plus I have to see a specialist regarding my kidneys, but I hope to be get cleared for January.

Hello! I am hoping for a December/January surgery date. I meet the surgeon this coming Monday but I have already completed all of my insurance requirements. I might be crazy in thinking I could have the surgery scheduled for the next month or two but I’m hoping!

I am scheduled for Dec 23rd! When he offered the date I didn’t even realize that it was just 2 days before Christmas, I was just so happy to have it scheduled!

Hi everyone. I'm scheduled for December 3rd and the anxiety is killling me. I've never had any surgery before and I'm second-guessing everything.

Hi I just found this app today. I am scheduled for Gastric Bypass Surgery on Dec 10th. I am from Ontario. Canada and my surgery is covered by my provinces health care plan. I see alot of people posting about waiting for insurance approval, that has to be stressful!

I’m hoping for a January date. Going to PR in March, so would love to have as many weeks as possible under my belt. Luckily we’re still in a Villa with full kitchen.

I'm scheduled for Dec 31. I was hoping for mid-December but have decided the date is meant to be and I can start the new decade with my new tool. Talk about a new years resolution :)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
