Mamaŕe 12 Posted October 1, 2019 I got the sleeve in 2017 and lost 40 lbs but my sleeve stretch due to some medications I have to take for RA and I had reflux. I gained 30 of the 40 back. I just had the VSG revision done last Wed with a hernia repair (I had not heard of getting a hernia with the sleeve - insurance paid) and I am still feeling the reflux. I am told it will get better but right now it doesn't feel that way. It's not as bad but it's only been less than a week. I just hate starting over it feels harder. I am craving to eat solid food and the healing part is hard also. I feel like phase one liquids is taking forever to pass. Mamaŕe 12 Posted October 1, 2019 why didn't they do bypass if got refluxDue to my meds they felt it was not the best option. Bypass would possibly stretch also.Sent from my Moto Z (2) using BariatricPal mobile app
kozyjozie 108 Posted October 2, 2019 Good morning everyone. I had my sleeve done August 2015. I lost 67 pounds and slowly have regained all the weight back. I believe my stomach stretched. Is it possible to be resleeved all over again? Will my insurance cover it? I have New York Medicare and Medicaid.
kozyjozie 108 Posted October 2, 2019 I am hoping someone would give me some info on it. I recently had an upper GI X-ray done. The dr is supposed to read it any day now. But I peaked at the X-ray while it was being taken and I can see that my stomach stretched. I have lost 9 pounds so far since September 23rd. I have been constantly staying active. I really would appreciate any feedback you can give me on the matter. I feel like a big disappointment lately. I feel it’s time to do ME. Now that the kids are grown and working. 1 Frustr8 reacted to this
New&Improved 1,780 Posted October 2, 2019 There's generally two options... Conversion to RNY bypass or turn sleeve into DS... 1 kozyjozie reacted to this
Frustr8 7,886 Posted October 2, 2019 Don't worry- things may still be fine- wait ( yeah i KNOW that's hard!) And talk it over with your doctor, unless you are a professional , they can be hard to interpet and after all ,you DID have a nice little weight loss and 5hat is a GOOD thing. Don't tie yourself up in. " nots" until You really have to- things are not "lost" as yet. 1 kozyjozie reacted to this
