I'm doing pretty good. I'm nervous. Not for the surgery but I respect it's a big life change. I am so excited to get my old body back before my accidents. I think I have almost all of my meal prepping done for after the surgery. My biggest struggle is everything is sweet and I'm not a big sweet eater. Thank you for asking.

im good but I just got a call from my surgeon office saying that my primary doc has not sent his clearance letter yet!! mind you I saw him on oct 17 th and he told me all was well and he just wanted me to make sure he gets sent the bloodwork results, he was also telling me he was unsure if he could do the pulmonary clearance since he know of my sleep apnea and cpat usage being good and I am compliant with the usage. Turned out I did need a pulmonary specialist so I went to one the same day as I did the bloodwork ,fast forward they sent my primary the results yesterday , so he has everyone's report to send the clearance letter but...…… I just called his office and was told they do see the results from pulmonary but he out of the office til Monday and Monday is my surgery date OMG what do I do....?????

Thanks. Miserable night trying to get comfortable but feeling a little better this morning. Gas is slowly reducing. Pain is manageable and looking forward to getting better and better. Good luck to all going in today.

Sent from my SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app

Most definitely I’m still uncomfortable at time but not in any real pain popsicles and electrolytes Water has been my savior I’m not really liking the Protein Shakes anymore right now but my hardest part is not sleeping on my side and stomach due to that’s how I sleep so hard so I wake up a lot sore from that but each day is getting better and better it’s definitely going to get easier each day hope you are feeling better to and good job with walking it helps too a lot

Day five post op...

Quick question for you, at 5 days out, do you think you could go to a movie theater and watch a movie?

Reason I ask is a friend of mine is doing a talk at the local movie theater and I'd like to go but I'm not sure that 5 days after my surgery I'd be able to go...

Thank you,

I've already come to terms with that. Although I agree that the smell may bother me in a new way...we shall see.

Hello everybody, i am officially on my 2 week pre-op liquid diet as of yesterday and this is so hard. I did eat a bite-size snickers today. I’m trying to take this one day at a time and not beat myself up about. I’m having the worse Migraine as well, but I’m keeping myself motivated because I’m becoming a little scared.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
