Maidenhail 16 Posted September 21, 2020 @ANewHooze I have lost over six stones in total- have plateaued slightly at 13stone but look pretty good at this. Honesty compels me to admit that I would loose more if I gave up the gin and tonics!! The pain after surgery was really manageable- I had my surgery in Turkey and after two days travelled to the UK. I just took my recovery at my own pace and used plenty of pain meds! Good luck! Xxxx
Maidenhail 16 Posted September 21, 2020 Be excited! It’s a great step you are taking! I still look back at my surgery ( a year ago - 6 stone lost) and wish I had done it years ago! Be kind to yourself and let your body dictate the pace - follow your dietary advice to the letter after surgery and of things take longer then that’s okay. I stayed on Soups and purées for AGES. It worked for me! Good luck xxxx

I can’t believe that in a year I could be that much thinner. With my lifetime of weight loss disappointment/failures it’s hard to imagine. But I am determined. In too much pain & discomfort to keep going as I am. Also at the ripe age of 65 my attitude toward food has really changed. Nothing is as important as health and the ability to move! that was brave going to Turkey for your surgery! So glad you did so well Your story of healing& travel so soon after gives me comfort Fingers crossed!
