50coupe332 12 Posted September 19, 2019 Just heard from my Patient Advocate at Dr. Smith's office in Celebration FL that they have received all my clearances and sent them to my insurance to get the go ahead... I know this is a good thing but I'm not patient at all lol ... 3 HipHopDiva, AZhiker and Bastian reacted to this

50coupe332 12 Posted September 20, 2019 (edited) Thank you all for the kind words !!!! Just received an email from my patient Advocate that she is missing my paperwork from July's supervised diet appointment 😕 ... Know I got to see if my Primary care provider has it and hopefully resend it .. I'm kicking myself in the butt cause they always asked me if I wanted the paperwork after they faxed it and I said no.. PJ49 12 Posted September 29, 2019 UGH! I received another call from Sage Bariatric on 9/26/19. My pre-authorization has been approved, but still waiting on the approval for the predetermination. So I google BCBS pre-authorization and predetermination, because I was really confused. Pre-authorization or pre-notification, pre-certification confirms that a physicians’ plan of treatment meets medical necessity criteria under the applicable health benefit plan. A predetermination is a voluntary, written request by a provider to determine if a proposed treatment or service is covered under a patient’s health benefit plan. Predetermination approvals and denials are usually based on our medical policies. It has been two week and this waiting is really kicking my butt. But on the upside. I have gotten some much needed cleaning done trying to stay busy when i get off of work. I am so thankful i found this sight, I just really needed to think-out-loud. 1 Deedee12 reacted to this
