Hi,

I’m currently 5 months post-op, I have been experiencing some severe stomach pain. My doctor found tiny Gallstones and wants to surgically remove my Gallbladder. I’m nervous about having another surgery, but this stomach pain can be unbearable at times. Anyone else experiencing pain from Gallstones?

Yep, it felt like I was being stabbed in the upper right of my stomach near my ribs. The recovery was super easy and its done laparoscopically no need to worry. You'll be ok.

You know I was just lyi,g in bed and thinking. If after a leg amputation you can have Phantom Leg pain, after GallBladder removal can you have Phantom GallBladder,or Liver, pain? Just speculating a little

I dealt with the same thing and had mine removed laparoscopically on 9/4. I was discharged the same day and didn’t need any opioid pain meds. Tylenol covered my pain just fine. Honestly I felt so good I probably could have gone back to work the next day.

The devil! Get it removed! At my 2month mark I got sick as hell! Multiple visits to the ER. They assumed it was from my sleeve. 25 pounds and a month later find out it's my gallbladder. I was so sick I had to get potassium by IV for a day in order to have it removed. Everyone body is different. Mine had me gagging, foaming at the mouth, couldn't keep food or fluids down and sharp pains under my breast. THE WORST! The removal was easy. I had sludge instead of stones so they just KNEW it wasnt my gallbladder. I felt so much better once it was gone!

My gallbladder and I split up a few years ago. It was NOT a healthy relationship for me. I’ve never regretted the breakup.

I am seven months post-bypass-surgery and having terrible stomach pains and vomiting at least once a day. Had an ultrasound and they found gallstones. Have an appointment with the surgeon for this Friday and am afraid he's going to say I need another surgery to remove the gallbladder. Can they dissolve the stones? Or am I going to have to suck it up and have to deal with another surgery? This will be the third, as I had emergency surgery 10 days post-op for a blockage and was hospitalized for 10 days with that one. Needless to say, with all the anesthesia my hair has been falling out in fistfuls. I was hoping it was going to get better, but now with the prospect of more anesthesia... well, baldness, here I come....

I had mine removed 3 years ago, long before I ever seriously considered surgery and it was a rough surgery and recovery for me. It took about 2 weeks to feel somewhat normal.

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.
