Dave01 0 Posted November 23, 2007 It was a great day and I survived Thanksgiving. Just a little turkey, 1/4 cup of mashed potatoes, 2 black olives, 2 cucumber slices. All I could manage to eat. How did you all do?
snowbird 2 Posted November 23, 2007 Waiting for our first fills next week. We went to my mother's assisted living facility and ate there with her, so small portions and no leftovers. Had a good dinner and didn't feel stuffed and bloated. She apologized that the food wasn't that good, but we thought it was great!
hollyberries 2 Posted November 23, 2007 This is day 2 on Mushies (stage 3). I had the day pretty much planned out. Today was not as bad as I thought it was going to be. I ate according to plan has much as possible. I ate: Breakfast: 2 scrambled eggs Lunch: 2 oz white turkey breast, 2 tsp. turkey gravy, 1/4 cup of squash and 1/4 cup sweet potato and a small spoonful of cranberry sauce. Snack: a few bites of pumpkin pie Dinner: 4 oz white turkey breast, 4 tsp. turkey gravy, 1/4 cup of squash and 1/4 cup of sweet potato. I needed more turkey because I was hungry and needed more Protein. I felt pretty satisfied except at dinner time because I waited to long to eat. Hope you all did great today. How are you feeling now? why don't you call your local doctor if your lapband doctor isn't around. also why don't you post this into a new thread under "Pre-op & Post-op Lapband Surgery Questions & Answers" so that people will read this and be able to help you. ladybug3 0 Posted November 24, 2007 Since I'm still in liquids, Thanksgiving wasn't too hard. Other than watching everyone eat what was reportedly an exceptionally good turkey! I did dip a finger in the gravy just to taste it and in the mashed potatoes and just smooshed them in my mouth until they were nothing. Actually, that was Friday. Thursday I was at home alone, having sent my hubby and kids on to his side's gathering, since I just wasn't up for it that day. I'm only 8 days out, plus I got the flu this week, so I was still not ready to be around people. Even yesterday ended up being a bit much for me. Christmas will be a lot harder, since I'll be on mushies and soft solids at that point, but with no fill.

And call every two hours until he calls. meanwhile it sounds like you don't have enough nutrition. Hoping fluids are going down, I'd start with Propel which is Water but with some OOMPH to it. Until you get to the doctor focus on getting some hydration and Protein into your body. Ensure liquid Protein at Walgreens or CVS is good. Keep drinking fluids. If anything you don't want to dehydrate. Never heard of this. You should get to the doctor.
Lap_dancer 8 Posted November 24, 2007 I did very well. I had less than 2 oz. of turkey...moist but just not happening. Some lovely italian cheeses mixed into the mac and cheese, melted quite nicely. No bread, that is for sure not happening. Baked apples were nice but only had a half if that. The best was the baked zucchini and yellow squash, also had a stuffed portobello. By far one of the best Thanksgivings. The focus was less on food, more on who we were with and sharing that moment. Still decorating for Christmas. The tree is beautiful this year.
