30 GB Zune any good?

Recommended Posts

Well black Friday sales are on and im looking for a new MP3.

I see Office Max has a 30GB Zune for $99. i know there are surposed to be Zune2 soon . i see some online for $99 too.

I really dont want to use it for videos, just working out. But the 30GB is appealing.

I had a REALLY nice little Sansa Clip 1GB but it was soooo small i lost it with in 2 weeks! Ahhhhhh. Well i guess someone is enjoying it.

Views welcome.

I have a Zune, an IPOD NANO, and a palm pc that plays music. The IPOD nano has appropriate technology for working out. The zune is not intended to bounce around and can be severely damaged if you do so. They have different memory chips in them. Having said that - I find the zune much easier to use and work with and has much better sound. I hate the "wheel" on ipods. BUT, for working out I always use my nano. Additionally, the zune really is too bulky to work out with - it would be like wearing 10 nanos. The zune will keep my kids quiet for hours. I have 450 cd's and they are all on my zune - and only fill up about 1/2 of the capacity. I obviously can't fit nearly that much on my 8gb nano.

Ive had my zune for almost a year. I work out with it whenever I work out :( and have never had a problem on it..of course I dont jump rope with it on, but dojog and walk with it. I love it, my sister has an ipod and I prefer my zune to it

I have a Zune as well. I bought mine when they first came out and paid approx 300.00 for it. I love it though. I always have my favorite pictures with me and it holds a tone of songs. I like the software that it comes with...the easier the better.

Whosyadaddy:

I have the 40gb Zune. I love, love, love it! Unfortunately I don't like the car thingy that you're supposed to be able to listin to your zune through the car radio - too much static. However, as far as the zune goes, I walk with it every day. I put every CD that I had on it and still have loads and loads of room for more. I bought the piece of equipment that you keep at your house to play music for everyone and that sounds great too.

Give yourself a gift of one. You deserve it, or ask Santa for one.

Take care.

Sue

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
