Or is anyone else craving Pickle Juice?

I always wanted pickled things when pregnant which I am most definitely not and I am craving the juice from the jalapeno jar too :O

It's not just you! I was originally drinking the juice from the pickle jar, but then I discovered you can buy a gallon of Pickle Juice on Amazon. (It's not the real thing, but pretty darn close.) When we have guests, I often have a small glass of pickle juice when everyone else is having wine or cocktails. I somehow makes me feel more like a part of the group as opposed to drinking plain Water. Strange, I know!

Wow i thought i was crazy because I've been craving dill pickles and olives. I was telling my sister this is crazy plus my taste buds are so off. So those are one of the few things that taste normal to me.

A lot of people yearn for salty- and- or savory things. Like most things in life, you got to do what's good for you, we all got to make our own kind of 🎶 music!

Yay, so glad I saw this. My daughter laughed at me the other day when she saw me drinking from the pickle jar. 😂

haha love these replies!

I felt like I was sneaking something naughty, so was standing in the fridge sipping the pickle-less juice that I insisted the husband leave in the fridge for me, sip sip sipping wondering if the dietician would tell me off LOL

Oh thank God it’s not just me. I’ve never been pregnant, but it feels like a hormonal craving. I find myself with the frig door open, eyeing the pickle jar whilst looking around to make sure nobody’s watching my weird obsession with pickle juice! I’m going to look for the drink! I can make my own alcohol-free cocktail!! Thanks so much!! P.s. I eat the pickles too, sometimes. That crunch & burst of Pickle Juice in my mouth - Nirvana! 😂😉👍🏼

A Lot of Bari- pals Crave Savory and Salty, maybe because post surgery even Water has a Sweet Taste. I like now Lemonade, not sugar- sweetened but Stevia containing and before Surgery it was okay but scarcely refreshing. Now that sugar, desserts, fast food, Cookies ,pies, soda. and coffee are all gone , a Girl has to find Joy where She Can!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
