brandimichellexo 63 Posted September 6, 2019 Anyone else get nauseous and dry heave after drinking Protein Shakes? I also feel this way when I first wake up in the morning. I get surgery Monday, September 9th. Anything y’all did to help or is this normal?
brandimichellexo 63 Posted September 6, 2019 I can’t drink the shakes by themselves, I used instant Decaf coffee and dilute the sweetness. It helps, as long as I use a straw and I can’t use them after surgery. Idk what to do 😭😭
CheerfulLoser 72 Posted September 6, 2019 Can you tell whether you’re having issues with the taste, texture, or ingredients? If you have a sense of the issue, it’s easier to troubleshoot. For example, I feel horrible if I drink whey Protein Shakes, but do fine with the vegan Proteins.
brandimichellexo 63 Posted September 6, 2019 @CheerfulLoser I think it’s the texture. Or the fact my tummy is trying to get used to have mainly liquids all day. Not sure.
CheerfulLoser 72 Posted September 7, 2019 I drink my shakes ice cold, with extra ice, through a straw, and while distracted (working or online). Maybe consider if you can “shake” your routine up a bit?
New&Improved 1,780 Posted September 7, 2019 Add Water if too sweet or thick
Zemi 72 Posted September 8, 2019 are you making it with ice, that helped me a bit? getting major gas with them now rather than nausea though
2Bsmaller18 436 Posted September 8, 2019 Cut the shake with milk-Fairlife if you can get that. It cuts the sweetness but still keeps Protein high. I had to have mine really cold over ice initially.
