debra102364 148 Posted September 1, 2019 My surgery is not till October but I need to get thing's together. I need a list for the hospital stay to recovery and to drink on the 2 week liquid diet. I bought Ispure, some broths and Lady Boss Protein Shake and a variety of Protein Shakes from Bastric Pal. Hidden 9 Posted September 1, 2019 I like GENEPRO Protein Powder. It’s unflavored and is a small scoop for 30g Protein. I mix it with Water and crystal light powder and cannot tell its even in there. You can buy it at GNC or on Amazon. 1 Bastian reacted to this
ahillig 136 Posted September 1, 2019 I can't speak to the liquid diet pre-op because I didn't have to do that, but I can tell you what I packed. I put a few pairs of underwear, socks, some loose shorts and shirts as well as a comfy sports bra. I didn't wear any of it. I also brought Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothbrush, toothpaste, and other small toiletries because hospital stuff sucks but again, all I used was the toothbrush and toothpaste. I brought a book too but didn't read it. If I wasn't sleeping I was walking on the unit, during the other times I played on my phone. I didn't even watch TV while I was there. Need at least 60 grams of protein per day. My nutritionist also recommended (in addition to regular whey protein isolate) to have collagen peptides to add to other foods/broths. And I bought some premier protein clear to so I can get some protein when drinking fluids. The Protein Shakes should be primary source in the first days post-op... the other stuff supplements other protein in the diet.
