I experienced it for the first week, worse with sugar free Jello that was given in the hospital. It went away after about a week. Hang in there.🧡Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app 2 FluffyChix and april042019 reacted to this
april042019 105 Posted September 1, 2019 ^^ YES. sugar free Jello felt horrible!!!! Everything else too to be honest. Just make sure you're taking very small sips and leave some time in between them. That's what I had to do for everything. Even now if I drink a big gulp of Water my stomach hurts. Good luck! ❤️
Cherie562 10 Posted September 1, 2019 I am 4 days post and SF JELLO...gave me cramps so bad. Also, SF popsicles are causing serious gas pains. Sent from my SM-G965U using BariatricPal mobile app 1 FluffyChix reacted to this
sparkles1073 2 Posted September 1, 2019 4 days post sleeve. As long as I stick to 10ml or less per sip I’m fine. Anything more than that is uncomfortable. 1 FluffyChix reacted to this
cubyblue6 61 Posted September 1, 2019 I'm about 10 days out from surgery and when I saw my surgeon for my 1 week I asked her about that, she said it was normal and that it would go away and it did just a few days later. I found sometimes taking a deep breath when the pain started helped significantly. Hang in there, it'll pass.Sent from my SM-G975U using BariatricPal mobile app 2 FluffyChix and Cherie562 reacted to this
Orchids&Dragons 9,047 Posted September 1, 2019 Try drinking warm Water rather than cold or cool. That minimizes discomfort for some people. 1 FluffyChix reacted to this
halfsnack 2 Posted September 4, 2019 Thanks! I have had better luck with warm or room temp liquid. 2 Deedee12 and FluffyChix reacted to this
FluffyChix 17,415 Posted September 5, 2019 Yep. Norms. And varying the temp is so important! I still have better results sipping room temp Water and warm liquids than I do cold. I can tolerate cold now, but it does make me feel "jammed up."
