jennj 49 Posted August 25, 2019 So, I had VSG on July 8. Things are going well, I am still just trying to figure out my tummy. It growls and gurgles a lot. I try to ignore it, but I’m wondering if I need to listen to it some, or if I just need to keep counting Protein and doing my thing. Like, does my stomach THINK it’s hungry and it has to get used to my new normal? I’m just confused. TIA! 1 FluffyChix reacted to this

AngieBear 2,524 Posted August 25, 2019 Mine talks a lot as well. It’s less than it was in the beginning, though. 1 FluffyChix reacted to this
momof3_angels 465 Posted August 25, 2019 Haven't had the surgery yet myself (in 10-11 days), but my friend who had it warned me about the same thing! She says hers does get really loud at really awkward times. I have also researched this and am reading about many others with the same issue. 1 FluffyChix reacted to this
HipHopDiva 220 Posted August 25, 2019 I read that many people have this as well. One side effect of the surgery, not sure if it completely goes away. 1 FluffyChix reacted to this
J@Alabama 44 Posted August 25, 2019 I had surgery in April 2018. I experienced the stomach gurgles for a while. It does get better. 1 FluffyChix reacted to this
S@ssen@ch 745 Posted August 25, 2019 I also had my surgery in April 2018. My tummy gurgled a bit early on, but not enough to even be distracting. Even now I don't get it so much now, but I have to say that it woke me up this morning. Was sitting up in bed reading and I heard a loud noise I thought came from my dogs. Nope, it was me. Honestly, I think that was the loudest one yet. 1 FluffyChix reacted to this
Lynda486 784 Posted August 25, 2019 I had my sleeve 21 years ago and my stomach still talks loud after I eat, very embarrassing! 1 FluffyChix reacted to this
MeepMeep 96 Posted August 25, 2019 Mine did the same right after surgery—even with liquids. Now that I’m on soft foods it still happens. 🤦♀️ Just something we have to deal with. I take chewable gas-x tablets if I have a meeting after lunch. Lol. 1 FluffyChix reacted to this
Bianca S. 195 Posted August 26, 2019 I’m only 6 days post op but it’s crazy how much you feel/hear your stomach 1 FluffyChix reacted to this
