mousecat88 2,281 Posted August 23, 2019 (edited) Well, you already said you're having skin surgery so .... hopefully that will provide the confidence boost. The main reason I am having a Tummy Tuck is because of the FUPA (fatty upper pubic area). I hate it. You can see it bulge in my pants like I have dude parts. lol. Yeah, the tummy needs work, too, but I can mostly hide that except for the FUPA. I am excited to have that chop-chopped. You are not alone. I'm not particularly confident over the whole skin removal surgery because I feel it's medically unecessary for me, however I could just be too nervous to have another surgery being I have nearly bled out during the last few I have had this year. elcee 3,341 Posted August 23, 2019 I think the only way to fix it is a Tummy Tuck or lower body lift with a mons lift 1 amithistrose reacted to this
ms.sss 15,713 Posted August 24, 2019 Ok, so about 15-20 lbs ago, my mon pubis stuck out like how @mousecat88 described above...when I wore fitted pants or dresses, it looked like I was packing something down there. Especially from the side view. Now, however its alot less "sticky-outy", to the point that it doesn't even bug me anymore (my butt is a different story altogether, though). But yeah, if you don't have any more weight to lose, most likely the only way to address is it with a Tummy Tuck and possible Lipo on the mons pubis area.... 1 amithistrose reacted to this

Mine doesn't stick out at all, I am below my weight loss goal leaving me with a sort of "dust flap." I am eligible for the skin surgery however last year I was diagnosed with reproductive cancer and opted out of skin surgery at the time because I was more up to fight for a hysterectomy instead. I am nearly a month post op from my hysterectomy now and with the tumors gone I can now see my own thunder from under and it's not a pleasant site however I am grateful to be alive. About two weeks ago I ended hemorrhaging which almost ended my life in almost 15 minutes flat which leads me to this realization: I have nearly bled to death while recovering from my last 3 operations. So I guess you could say I am extremely paranoid to have the skin done. Oh well, I either learn to live with it or chop it off Sent from my moto g(7) power using BariatricPal mobile app
Chelle Jett 6 Posted August 27, 2019 Before I was diagnosed with plantar fascitis I actually lost over 100lb with diet and much much excerise. I had saggy skin and had a lower body lift, a back lift a arm lift, a breast reduced with lift with liposuction. My plastic surgeon actually lipoed my mons public because it was sticking outSent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app

So glad to hear you are cancer free. I can understand your concerns about bleeding out on previous surgeries. You can talk with a plastic surgeon about this issue. IDK if there is anything besides surgery and loving yourself to deal with body issues. Counseling is an option. I was more than thankful to have my health back. I felt my skin was livable. My husband and my Dr. are the only people that see it up close and personal. *smile* I’ve waited five years after surgery to investigate plastics. Wish you the best in whatever you decide. amithistrose 32 Posted November 30, 2019 Ok graphic n gross but I guess this is the post to ask about LOL! Mine doesn't stick out or bulge but it looks weird, I noticed when I was walking it felt like there was a gap down between my legs, looking in the mirror the 2 sides of my womanhood don't meet together anymore, there is a gap between the 2 sides n it looks weird. Would the lower body lift help this? I have been researching and really don't know how to pay for all the plastics it's crazy expensive. anyone tried any other skin tightening alternatives that helped?
