Today I am 2 months and 3 days post op and I’m down 42 pounds

Recommended Posts

I feel so accomplished after losing 42 pounds in the last two months, and my health feels so great. Are there any tips that any of you would give moving forward ? What were you guys doing around this time after your surgery that helped with your weight loss?

That is awesome. I can’t wait until I’m one year post op and thin, but I’d I loose 40 something pounds in the first two months I’ll be thrilled.

Congrats! Ok, here's your advice from me. Work your program. Follow your doctor's plan to a T. Don't wing it. Don't morph it to "suit you." Don't diverge. Maintain laser focus and follow the rules including his instructs for exercise. And you will not recognize yourself in 6 months! WTG girl!!

This process has not been easy BUT I’m going by everything I’m told. I’m down 47 pounds and feeling great.

Oh sweetie! ((hugs)) This process isn't easy!! It's really hard and some days it's harder than others!!! But even as hard as it is every day? It's still the "easiest" we'll ever have it to get substantial, life changing weight loss to be a reality for us. Right?

So glad to hear you are working the plan and experiencing success!

Feels great doesn't it?!! Be proud of your efforts!!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
