Is anyone using any firming cream or lotion for loose skin? If so, what is the best? They’re are so many options and some are quite expensive. Of course, money isn’t much of a concern if it’ll actually help. Thanks in advance ☺️

I don't know how much weight you have to lose, but if its a lot I doubt a lotion or cream is going to help it retract as you lose weight. It may help with the look of some of the stretch marks.

It can take up to a couple of years for skin to retract as much as it is likely to, and that depends on many things - age, weight lost, history of yoyo dieting/big weight losses/gains, genetics, environment.

Look to the most expensive cream/lotion you were going to buy and starting putting that money away into a savings account (maybe once or twice a month), at the end of a year or more you will have some funds for new clothes or the beginning of a savings account for skin removal (if it is needed).

Oddly, I've lost about 150 lbs so far since last year, and I haven't had any loose skin issues. I still have 100 lbs. to lose, but this seems promising. I'm 32.

I went from 370 down to 183 at my lowest... currently sitting between 185 - 190 at 18% body fat. I have minimal issues with skin, sure there is some extra, and I hate how it looks, but it hides very easily. I've got other photos in my profile that highlight the changes. But at the end of the day, it's going to be 100% personal, everyone's skin is different, where they carried their weight, how their skin reacted to the weight etc etc etc.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
