Ok, I thought it would be fun to put a daily thread in about keeping track of how many miles we walk or run each day/week.

It's an informal account. Just take your previous total and add to it as often as you want! It would be fun to keep track each day! I will go back to Monday (the start of the week for me) and add figures. You can do it in either steps or miles/kms.

:) Let's get physical, y'all!

Fantastic idea, I am still a bit hit or miss but am trying to do some walking every other day at the moment. Daily is too much to actually go on a walk at the moment, but no reason I can't track the days I do go on one.

I also have a husband in the good books who has set up my bike so I can use it in a stationary position, so even if I did 2, 3, or 5 mins I could track that too.

pre-op I wasn't doing anything because it was all too hard mentally but this is my path to a new me so join in I shall!

Last week I clocked in 28.7mi of walking/ running. So far this week I’m at 20mi. Today I plan on running 1.25mi and waking at the park with a friend for 2.5mi. Yesterday I ran 10k so I have to be kind to my body today 😂

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
