Starting my third week just how long does this stall last. It is driving me nuts as I've lost nothing the last 4 days. I get to start on soft foods and after debating I decided to start with cottage cheese as so many had problems with eggs. I'm so enjoying chewing I missed it so much. I made it through the 3 weeks of liquids!

I had about 19 day stall after getting home. Then is started to drop off.. it was a start and stop as weight loss is, but it's been dropping off of me with some pauses once in a while.

Also isn't it nice to get back to food with textures? It was a highlight!

i am not sure how long the 3 week stall lasts.. just keep plugging along and you will see the change. Also do not weigh daily. You will drive yourself nuts... Stick to weighing once a week. A stall is a stall if it last more than 2 weeks.. you mentioned a few days.. you could still drop before the end of your week and it would not be a stall :)

the more im on here the more i notice how everyone is different. ive been on a stall but yet just yesterday i had to add holes to my belt. I KNOW if i follow the program the weight will come off. there is no way i can take in 600-1000 calories and not lose weight. stay the course! enjoy your soft foods. you got this!

Don't drive yourself crazy, the Weeks 3/4 Stall is Inevitable. Everyone gets it. Stop weighing for a couple of weeks. It'll pass.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
