mousecat88 2,281 Posted August 20, 2019 (edited) No, no compression stockings. Just encouraged to walk around. No blood thinners needed, either, thankfully. Just a ton of heparin shots in the hospital. The shots left permanent discoloration... which may be removed during my upcoming TT. It's a big brown spot. =/ Edited August 20, 2019 by mousecat88
ARMoma45 353 Posted August 21, 2019 They weren't really uncomfortable but was a pain to put back on after walking so they said I could leave them off. I generally took a stroll down the hall every time I got up to tinkle. Glad I could help brighten your day
KaysMommy 1,089 Posted August 22, 2019 I never had any compression socks either. I had the machine on my legs with the lovenox injections. I still got a blood clot, but I was in the hospital way longer than most.
Bre_C 0 Posted August 25, 2019 My hospital here in The Netherlands say I have to keep them on for 4 weeks. I also have the shots & take my regular blood thinner medication.Sent from my SM-G965F using BariatricPal mobile app
