I am so sorry to hear about your pups.

Hang in there, and try to remember all the joy they brought to you. That doesn't go away. 💙

Oh I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. The pain is real indeed. Is there something else you can do to soothe your heartache? A long hot bubble bath, a stroll to a beautiful place, a good movie on Netflix or at the theatre, etc? If you really feel you need to reach for food try to find a healthy alternative to french fries. Hang in there. Let yourself grieve. Again I'm very sorry for your loss.

It turns out I was so emotionally distraught I couldn’t even eat the French fries (I ate only 4). So today I’m going to go to Water aerobics after work to relieve my stress.

Thank you so much for your kind concern! I'm still grieving but just trying to go on with life. I'm a little disappointed in myself because I was doing so well with eating healthy but the last couple.days I've had some junk food a piece of cake a couple of fries. I'm hurting and I know eating bad things isnt going to make me feel better but I'm just trying to cope. I am going to go and workout tonight try to get back on the right track. Again thank you for your concern.

Good for you for being mindful of your actions, even if your choices aren't necessarily the best. At least you are aware which is part of the journey. Also very good that you are getting yourself to work out. That is important and will help you as well. Hang in there my dear.

Are you a member of the EU? Its going to be very difficult, if not impossible, to legally work and move around the EU if youre not.

What will you do if/when you need medical/dental care?
Wrong post?

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
