Gosh I LOVE it!! Great report! And I love that he can do it all at the same time! Why not go for a brachioplasty at the same time since it's less money? :) Then you can get the arms you want at the same time? :D (Psssst, is it Dr. Now? :) )

Thanks for the feedback everyone!

@FluffyChix I've decided against doing an arm lift at this point. They just don't bother me enough to be worth the scar, and additional recovery time. I figure as I age they will get worse, so maybe I'll reconsider in 10 years or so.

monsplasty

I had been wondering about this. It seems to often be done with lower abdomen? Is that correct.

I know it sounds maybe stupid...but I was horrifically dismayed when I realized on this forum that the excess weight in this specific area was 'not going to go away'. I'm unsure why I thought it would be different...but I was and still am fairly upset as I was hoping I would not need plastics for that.

Even though as of this week, I weigh less than I've weighed in a decade, I'm not comfortable being..physical with my husband...despite the weight loss...because, well let's be real if you were as large as me or maybe wherever you are at...all the saggy skin...just not attractive on me. I'm so particularly embarrassed about this area specifically.

yes - it's typically done as part of a lower body lift.

Well if by a Miracle I can get P,S. and they want to do a Mons- Revitalization, it'll be okay if they clip or shave Down Below, I never WAS Abundently Furred, You See Redheads have the least hair per square inch on their body, and I HAD to follow the rule!

From all my reading I've done, it seems like for the most part the mons is pulled tight and reduced as a natural part of the lower body lift or Tummy Tuck. As all your skin is pulled upward, so is your mons. Some surgeons will do Lipo on the mons too, if needed.

As a side note, it's really a shame that you are so uncomfortable with your body that you're not able to relax and be intimate with your husband, We are way harder on ourselves then anyone else would be, especially your partner (if not that's a whole nother issue!). The fact is sex feels amazing, and physical intimacy creates strong bonds, you really shouldn't deny yourself that! :)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
