ASHMHB 1 Posted August 18, 2019 Hey guys, I’m 4 weeks post op for gastric bypass and everything I eat gives me the worst stomach pains. I’m doing my mushy foods, i was thinking of seeing my doctor soon but I just wanted to know if this is normal for any else? I know I’m going to be told it’s still quite soon but it’s at a point where the idea of eating is just putting me off if it’s going to cause pain. I do eat slowly and I stop when I am full. I’ve been feeling quite nauseous but not as often.
toodlerue 452 Posted August 18, 2019 I took a lot of gasX, Dramamine (25mg meclizine) & a few pain pills for the 1st 2-3 months. And regretted even having the surgery. My daughter said I made it look so easy. I was just hiding it. 1 LastChance57 reacted to this
froufrou 678 Posted August 18, 2019 What mushy foods are you eating?
ARMoma45 353 Posted August 19, 2019 Try stopping before you actually feel full. If I go until I feel full, i'll have to vomit. But yes, i've had stomach pains pretty much constantly since surgery 4 weeks ago. 1 demayome reacted to this
LastChance57 35 Posted October 25, 2019 Me too, ever since I started puréed foods.
LastChance57 35 Posted October 25, 2019 I bought nausea bands for my wrist for nausea. They help somewhat until I take them off.
bennyhoff6 3 Posted October 28, 2019 Maybe try cutting what you’re eating in half and just eat more frequently
ARMoma45 353 Posted October 28, 2019 I found out that I have developed gallstones so that is the most likely cause of my constant pain.
