newlady1 67 Posted August 11, 2019 Is it normal to gain weight during the puree stage? I've been losing weight nicely but now it seems like I'm gaining. It is hard to get in all the Protein so I'm working on that. But just wanted to know if anyone else has had this experience. GradyCat 3,695 Posted August 11, 2019 How much are you gaining? It could just be Water weight fluctuations when you weigh. 1 FluffyChix reacted to this
newlady1 67 Posted August 12, 2019 How much are you gaining? It could just be Water weight fluctuations when you weigh. It's 2-5 lbs. That's what i was thinking, it could be the timing that i weigh plus Water weight. But i just got a little nervous. I'm only a little over 2 weeks post op. So i guess its normal the body has to adjust. Sent from my SM-G965U using BariatricPal mobile app 1 FluffyChix reacted to this
FluffyChix 17,415 Posted August 12, 2019 What are you eating if you're having trouble getting Protein in? How much Fluid are you getting in daily also?
Midnightsun 129 Posted August 12, 2019 My last surgeon appointment for my one month checkup I only lost 4lbs and was pretty upset. Here the nurse practitioner said she told the surgeon to prepare us that the weight just doesn’t come off in weeks 3 and 4 and sometimes people gain a pound or two. She said it will really start in the coming weeks. So I would say concentrate on Protein and fluids and hang on for the ride. Good luck to you. 1 FluffyChix reacted to this
