rs 1,473 Posted August 6, 2019 Anyone have a favorite dark chocolate almonds brand? I've been buying Skinny Dipped brand lately. I kinda like how they are lightly dusted with the cocoa which makes it less sweet than the smooth type of chocolate coating. It looks like Blue Diamond has something similar but I haven't tried it. Anyone have any preferences?

Anyone have any preferences? Be very careful. Look how many craptastic carbs of sugar are in the prepared chocolate covered almonds. They are easy to make. Simply toss almonds with a little beaten egg white and strain them lightly, then dust with cocoa and bake in a 300 degree oven until toasty and dry. You can add a bit of powdered sweetener (calorie free) like Swerve, or Truvia, OR add a few drops of flavored liquid stevia to your egg whites before adding the almonds. So much better for you. But the cals still add up very quickly with snack nuts. Hard to control quantity or eating events. Easy to just graze graze graze = stall stall stall. 5 rs, MIZ60, HipHopDiva and 2 others reacted to this

JaleovexCax 3 Posted February 22, 2020 I admire dark chocolate, I respect it, I would vote for it for President of the Chocolate Guild, I would trust it to housesit for me, but I actually like milk chocolate, especially in conjunction with almonds. 1 1 rs and Krimsonbutterflies reacted to this
