Sleep apnea and surgery

Recommended Posts

Wow that’s interesting you mentioned the nightmares. I never really put that together with it. I’m going to get a machine with the heated mist, I’m hoping I don’t wake up so damn dry anymore, and as a result my post nasal drip will go away. Thinking that it’s probably over productive being so dry.

I also have mild sleep apnea and wasn't required to get one. The sleep study said I could either get a cpap machine or lose weight. Since the whole reason I got the sleep study so I could get the surgery I opted for the lose weight. My clinic was ok with that since it was mild and not moderate or severe sleep apnea if it was then I would of had to get the machine. I personally didn't want to deal with the machine so I was glad it wasn't a requirement. When I had my surgery and the whole time I was in the hospital they had the blood oxygen level on my finger and it stayed within range. One less thing I had to worry about.
