Recommended Posts

Ive lost 35pounds in the last 2months i was alittle annoyed but happy that i have energy now. I normally take a quick shower downstairs with the door open so i can see my kids playing so when i get out of the shower i dont have time to look at my body in the mirror... oh heaven forbid!!! I had a quiet shower upatairs by myself for once while my husband watched the kids downstairs. I got out and staired at myself in the mirror and just wanted to cry! Its like the 35pound lost was all from my breasts!!!! I usually wear a DD or F size bra and now my boobs are soo deflated i look down i dont even see my nipples they have a mind of there own looking down. My nipples are 2inches away from my belly button.. it makes me feel ugly and sad and i dont know how im going to lose 60more pounds and not feel yucky the whole time im praying when all the is done ill be able to afford plastic surgery.. i was so upset i had a icecream snickers bar it was great till my husband started coming downstairs and i had to hide the wrapper in the couch. Hehe. That was a bad thing to do.

My poor boobies ! Awe it sucks!!

Anyone know of excercises that help with that chest area..

Exercising your pectoral muscle might help a little but Ain't Nuthin' Gonna Re- perkie-fy Us Again! Would have loved watching you stuff the wrapper behind the cushion, Now That's Something I would do myself! Went from a DD to a scanty B, think I need a Seat Belt Retractor to roll them up and stuff in the cups. 💦😝, Got to Laugh, because crying only makes my eyes Red and Sore.👈😀👉

It happened to me, too. Boo-hoo.😪 Two sets of jiggly batwings. Saggy upper arms and freakishly saggy boobs. After four pregnancies and so much milk that I donated gallons to a milk bank... I got nuthin' now. To "celebrate" my amazing new silhouette, I've stopped wearing a bra. I mean, what's the point? And really... I might as well go out and get myself the same training bra I had when I was 11 years old, the one with the little pink rosebud in the middle.

it's pretty common. I had a breast lift as part of my body contouring surgery. Ta da! They look better than they did when I was 20!

Mine were already starting to droop before the WLS, but then again I am 54, so I guess age and gravity took its toll. I'm considering a breast lift after I reach my goal weight.

Your body is going through rapid to change. Be kind to yourself

As women. I think we are too critical about out perceived flaws. We put a lot of value on our appearance. I hope your weight loss and new found energy will boost your self esteem. See how you feel about loose skin after goal. Decide if its livable or you can investigate plastics.

It may be time to work on soothing emotions with food. We are all a work in progress.☺️

losing my boobs has been awesome, imo. lmao. i had a breast reduction from an H to a D in 2017. i WANTED a B cup, but they don't let you choose (which is bogus... you can choose how large you get them but not how small??). well now i am just about a B cup with the weight loss so TA DAAA! amazing.

I'm too old and too "done" with trying to be anything other than healthier. My boobs are deflated and saggy to China. My bowels still seem to have very little holding power. I've lost track of the number of times I've left a feces trail to the bathroom or lost my load right on the kitchen floor. It's as if my bowel muscles don't exist or all the rejiggering has shortened my "holding tank". I'd love for someone to explain the anatomical changes with my bowels. After one year, leaking is still a problem. And the smell. It's nothing like I've ever smelled. It's almost like it's not fully processed and comes out before the necessary flora or enzymes have had a chance to break things down. Bleach is a necessary standby. I feel like an incontinent old dog or something. It's humiliating. Should I consider wearing a diaper when I go out? I now keep a big pan under my bed so if I can't get to the bathroom in time (or it's occupied) I have a place to go other than the floor at my feet. It's a feeling like know other. I can relate to other people now, like my mother with dementia, who has her fair share of accidents. The shame I feel is hard to get past. I've started seeing a therapist. Amazingly, she has a history of her own... a mini-bypass sixteen years ago. It's nice to have someone understand my continuing body dysphoria, my bowel leaking, boob disappearance, etc.-- that on top of everything else going on. It's actually the "everything else" that creates the most distress in my life but I try to tell myself that we all have mountains of stress (just different circumstances) and I can get through this and more and be a stronger person for it. Anyway, I'm trying my best.

This site is the one place for me to continue venting, even after one year. It's a place of peace and non-judgmental acceptance. I don't know how many times (particularly in the beginning before and right after my surgery) when someone like Matt Z, AlteredRealty, Frust8, GreenTealael, FluffyChix and many others... who came to my rescue with good advice and much-needed empathy. I've needed you all less as time goes by, but when I do need someone... someone is always here. That is a feeling that has no monetary value. This site is invaluable to many of us for so many reasons. Thank you to all who have cared about me or helped me selflessly in big and small ways.

I did have a breast lift, 15 years ago, 5 years after my RNY. 2nd best thing I did after the Bariatric surgery. Girls still look good. Torrid have wonderful stretchy lace bralettes that are not tight but work for providing a little support and they can help you look pretty. They have size 14. I am sure that they have them elsewhere.

@Missouri-Lee's Summit

It has been 20 years since my RNY. I was working and traveling for work. I, too, had problems with diarrhea. I fasted for 24 hours before a flight because I did not want to have to get up to on the plane, only to be told to sit down. I had a friend lose it and she said it was the worst thing that ever happened to her. Then, I would just worry myself sick over where the bathrooms were where ever I visited.

So, I spent a lot of time researching and testing foods. I can not eat any fatty things. Nothing. No ice cream, no soft cheeses, nothing deep fried, no buttery baking. I have to avoid any fatty meat, meat in general. Low fat dairy does not trigger a problem. Trust me, if I know I am going to be home all day, I may have a scoop of ice cream. But I have learned its just not worth it.

The other thing I did was pelvic floor exercises. Well, my trainer at the time (a mom of 6), said to do thirty pelvic floor lifts three times a day. Do them while you do the dishes for example. She said, just squeeze your butt muscles like you are trying to stop a fart. "keegles " can also help. (spelling?)

I always have Imodium in my purse.

I am scheduled for a modification/revision of my pouch and RNY on the 31st of this month.

Post surgery, when I can have blended foods, I will add oatmeal(tablespoon uncooked) and brown rice (tablespoon cooked) to my meals as that slows things down. Maybe that will help?

My Mom and several relatives had IBS, and they have not had bariatric surgery. I think I am just an IBS person with bariatric surgery, so I need to be extra careful.

Good luck....

I weep for your poor boobies! But you can have some of mine. I have the opposite problem: lost everywhere except my boobies. This has made me the delight of many a strange male eye where I live, lol... but it makes bra buying the same hassle it always was and kind of distorts me into a Barbie doll or porn star. Imagine a poor librarian looking like this. I compensate by always wearing loose tops. Keep at it... your boobies might return. Me, I'm hoping for a bit of reduction magic to maybe happen... I am not the girl these fellas think I am after surgery :(

Still pre-op, but when I do lose weight, my boobs are the first to go! Back to a pathetic A cup. I guess I should be happy, I have never been huge there, so they don't sag so much as disappear.

Why do the girls who want them lose them but the girls who want to lose them can't lose them? :(

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
