Awww! So sad to hear of your unfortunate fire down below!!! I'm thinking it sounds like a fat event--too much in your dinner meal. It hits me within 10-20 minutes as well and it's immediately demanding. Did you feel better immediately after the trip to the trone room? :( 😧

Well, my stay on the throne lasted about 40 minutes, so it wasn't what I'd call "immediate", lol. But once what seemed like my insides were COMPLETELY empty, I def felt better.

Damn!!! ((hugs)) Well most importantly, drop us a pre-poop weight and a post-poop weight. Bahahahaha! And if you missed it this time, remember...before losing it, always. ALWAYS. Step on the scale first for your b/a reading. Hahahahahahaha. Yes, swearsies. I actually do this. I will just say, sometimes...I impress myself. Ha!

Do you feel better today?

much better thanks, can't wait to get home and eat my "breakfast" as I'm actually feeling hungry (probably cuz of the unfortunate stomach emptying last night)

Yay!!!! I just finished my brekky. Had a lovely egg and turkey sausage foldover. :)

It's this minus the arugula and ham. I added the JD precooked turkey sausage crumbles and I'm out of fresh veg lol, so doing uber low carb this week until I can go HEBing.

5'2" Female Maintaining 8.5m post-op

July 22: 388 calories, 30g carbs, 19.5g fat, 37.4g Protein.

Alrighty, so I knew I was going out to an all-you-can-eat (self-cooking) Korean BBQ for dinner tonite, so I basically saved my day's calories for this meal...which sort of backfired as I didn't eat as many calories as I anticipated I would. (All amounts are approximate as I didn't have a scale on me ;) )

1: coffee + stevia sweetener (2 cals)
2: 1 oz grilled shrimp + 1 oz grilled chicken + 2oz Kalbi (short ribs) + 1oz grilled pork loin + 1oz grilled pork belly + 1 tbsp kimchi + probably 2 tbsp of added sugar in the various meat marinades (386 cals) (btw, got all this food in over a 2.5hour period.)

Is this Korean BBQ, sounds delicious! Im happy to hear you can eat kimchi. Gives me hope for the future lol If it was ok to replace every meal with a bowl of it I would do it lol

I eat either Kimchi or raw sauerkraut/veggie ferments daily for my gut healing. :) They are a great source of pre-biotic Fiber. :)

I've gone from one extreme to the other now. :( So am gonna have to look into TNT or dynomite or something soon. LOL.

Korean BBQ is in my top 3 of eating-out-cusines: all Protein, all the time! lol. Plus, I can take over the BBQ-ing duties since I don't eat much, plus it makes the fact that I don't eat much less obvious, plus I can actually eat warm/hot food for the entire meal! Win-win-win. 😎

Kimchi: YUM.

At a KB place, can you choose as the cook, how much if any sauce to apply?

Haha, it was part hungry heifer (because of my empty insides from the dumping the day before) and part a concentrated effort to get calories in. MFP says I only averaged 1000/day calories last week, which is a relatively big drop from my 1500 average the couple weeks before (though I still didn't get in as much as I wanted yesterday...will try again today).

You can choose the type of Protein, either marinated or un-marinated. They also supply sauces on the side, which you can add before cooking or after. Like i said, WIN-WIN-WIN, lol

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
