My Halloween costume, which I'm pretty darn thrilled about. I have always wanted a poodle skirt and I found this vintage one on ebay and I'm so excited. [emoji16]
I pieced the rest together with thrift store items and Amazon, and had the shoes already. I wanted saddle shoes, but they're too expensive. Lol PXL_20221029_204300154.MP.jpg

And a little head to toe colour from me. Was attending a lunch for a charity of which a friend is a director. It supports families who have lost a child from gestational losses to children in their 20s. First gala lunch they’ve been able to hold in 2 years. Tickets sold out in 5 minutes so they had to have additional people in a second function room & also live steamed the event. They raised $91 000. So marvellous for a worthy cause.

I usually don't post here but today I wanted to show my husband my new pants that look like skinny jeans but are really soft and stretchy pants (which makes them more comfortable to wear, especially with boots).

Forgot to set a proper time delay - but I somehow like this picture. 🤣

Since some people liked the post in case someone is interested in this kind of pants and/or also in mini skirts that look like jeans skirts: the brand is "crazy" (watch out for sales because their prices match the brand's name).

OOTD: Nails Edition!

was talking about nails in the food B&A thread, which motivated me to lug myself to the salon and address my nails, finally (after 2+ months)

am glad i did! typing on my laptop and phone is so much easier now! plus i got my toes done for good measure...(who else loves those massage chairs during pedicures?!??)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
