I bought one of my favorite dresses from ModCloth when it recently went on sale. I had this in red in a 3x, and wore it all the time. I gave that one away in June. This one is a size L. And it gives off a totally different vibe for some reason.

I've waited for a 25% discount and got both the Patera and Centrale. 😷

They have awesome clothes IMO but one definitely has to wait for a discount, lol. What coat do you wanna get?

I don’t know! I’m thinking I’ll wait until REI has their member sale and I get my dividend. I tried some on in the airport at Denver, and they were real real nice.

Part of the deciding factor is which ones hit me right, I have a short torso and huge hips/ass. So things that are designed to hit at a waist lower then mine run into some, umm issues. I’m thinking a lightweight down packable style, though. Something waterproof, because, uh, I live in Western Oregon.

I’m also planning on getting a new ultra light sleeping bag, too. I made my other one when I was bigger, because standard ones were uncomfortable. But, it was never as warm as what some of the ones that are available are.

The Parkas are both waterproof. Down/Primaloft and GoreTex. They're definitely lightweight compared to their size but not packable. They need room.

Maybe you want to invest money in simply a GoreTex shell and size it up so you can layer?

I got a bit tired of layering so I wanted something that goes down to the knees and doesn't require wearing more than a light sweater and jeans beneath even in colder conditions. Plus I wanted something that looks more urban style.

That makes sense. A long coat for daily stuff would be good. The packable one is more for hiking and backpacking. I think the only clear solution is that I need 2!

Everyone is looking fabulous. Tonight I was cooking dinner and my daughter wanted a picture of her 4-H sewing project. So she snapped a picture of me cooking dinner.

Meh. I do love jewelry and I now love shoes, though.

Okay, I'll edit this. I have a nice Garmin for hiking/running and my apple watch. Those I do love. LOVE. Even though I constantly forget to recharge them.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
