Had to clear out my closet a bit again - 17 summer dresses, skirts, trousers, etc. and yes predominately black I know. 😉 Most I bought 12-18 months ago when I’d thought my weight had settled - ha! They’re all 1-2 sizes too large - waaaah! I’m keeping all but 3 trousers because they’re excellent quality or pretty timeless (3 dresses are from my archive collection bought around 2006/7 & I’d wear them today if they fit).

You know, you could do one of your bigger, larger-sized friends a solid by bequeathing those fancy frocks…say, to a clothes-loving, wardrobe-admiring Canadian up north??

lolololzzzz.

JK…sort of. 😂😈

👍 I have wondered how long people continue to lose - How long after your surgery had you thought your weight had settled? And how much did you lose since that time?

I wish I had thought to take a picture of all the clothes I donated because they are too big! I (gladly) lost 1/2 my closet! The rest are the clothes I thankfully didn’t get rid that finally fit again. NSV!!!!

After reaching goal (127 lbs @7mnths), I lost another 12 lbs over 1-2 months until i settled at 115. Been here (+/- 5lbs for over 2 years).

😆😆😆 Only problem is they’d likely be too big on you too. 🙂

Hit goal at 6 months then lost another 11.5kgs (25lbs) over the next 10/11months. Have been sitting around that weight +/- a kilogram (2lbs) since then - about a year.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
