Look what arrived today!!!!! The 25th gala shoes! Love them for the more quieter gown. YES, ms.sss I did see the perky girls on surgery day. They are all and more I could have ever hoped for! Just excited to see the tummy territory BUT will keep all safely in their compressed garment cocoon for now! Are you pleased with your plastics results? Starting to feel yourself again? I am pretty swelled in tummy area. Did I tell you the surgeon removed 5 pounds!? I feel so much lighter now on smaller frame. Model more for us! wanna see, wanna see... the fun things you've been procuring. These tropical beauties were also delivered today from friends. Feeling very thankful today.

Oooh the sparkles!

I love sparkles.

I’m sitting here (yet again) in yoga pants and an oversized (size medium) sweater top feeling distinctly UNglamourous.

Waaaaaa.... I wanna go somewhere fun and wear something sexy and sparkly now. 🤣🤣🤣

A Desigual delivery arrived just today and brand new Vivobarefoots. 😁

Are they comfortable? I'm always looking for a good pair of comfortable shoes.

I love them, but "comfortable" is something completely subjective. They have very thin soles so you have to be comfortable with walking barefoot.

True. And I do have problems walking barefoot... plantar fasciitis 😔

Me too. I got good arch supports for my shoes and never, ever go barefoot. Haven’t had problems with it since.

The winter boots of cause have a thermal sole in it so the feeling of "walking barefoot" is not as extreme as it is e. g. with their ballerinas.

However, when you have (chronic?) plantar fasciitis you'd have to build up slowly. Quite a few people got rid of foot problems when they switched to barefoot walking (or so they claim, hopefully it's not only a marketing lie) but you'd have to strengthen and stretch both the foot and the calves.

Anyway I switched to barefoot/0 mm heel drop during my last year of med school during internship when I had to attend ward rounds and noticed often an aching lower back and/or knees and/or feet as time went on when on ward rounds. Pain went away and is gone since then.

I'm willing to try anything that will help. The pain has lessened with the weight loss but is still there. I will take your advice and start stretching as well. Thanks!

There are plenty of YT videos on this stuff. Maybe you want to take a look first so you don't make things worse with stretching? Foam rolling also helps a great deal! Also "Voodoo Flossing".

This was my experience. When my plantar fasciitis flare up dimmed, I started working on strengthening my foot and calves. One way was by running in minimals. I had to ease into that, because it uses a lot more of your calf muscles. But it worked, I never had another issue. I’ve been having trouble here lately because I’m not running. Today I cross country ski’d for hours, and my plantar fasciitis issue is making itself heard.

Do you think I can go voodoo flossing in my sparklely's!? Haha. Not sure what that term even means (but love the sound of it) or what YT's are? I do know for an osteoarthritis knee - the mimic of flat or barefoot replica work wonders. I like All Birds and Rothy's - they work great for me. Ever tried them? Great spring collection out.

Threw a 60th surprise birthday party for hubby this past Sunday. He was totally caught off guard... Sooooo mission accomplished. Here's a few snap shots of the event.

I’m in my stripes base layer pants, with fluffy snow boots. My partner laughed at me, but I’m pretty sure the mismatching just makes me look more legit. 😂

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Am feeling this right now. My surgery date is 4/1. Sign the consent tomorrow. I feel like I overloaded myself with too much info, too many opinions. Got to the point where I was wondering if I should do this. Then I thought of my reasons for taking this step and that settled my nerves. Still get moments of doubt but am striving forward. Am just going to follow my book from the surgeon. Joined this because I was told by my dietician that I should do this for support
