I went shopping today and tried a skirt on that had a fit I am not usually confident in. But, I think with some Shapewear I can pull it off.

Actually, Angie bear, you look incredibly slender and stylish here in these more tailored styles like this pencil skirt and fitted shirt. Your previous suit outfit had that same effect. Not that you should dispose of the creative artistic sensibilities... I'd just make my core foundational pieces more tailored, then accessorize with your wonderful avant-garde flair! Those really cool pieces will take center stage when paired with quieter undertones. Love this outfit! Did you purchase it?

So much to catch up on!

@Deedee12 So glad to see more of you!

@TXlowbmi I LOVE those shoes!

@Dtrain84 I knew I liked you ... I have a thing for Philly men!

Long time no see @NYJenn , @Freiabr& @elcee

@BayougirlMrsS Oh, I had forgotten about my faux leather leggings! I wonder if I will be well enough to rock them on NYE? Is that green dress off Amazon. If so it's been on my wishlist forever....

@AngieBear YES to that skirt. It looks fantastic on you! I like to put a belt over the transition between my pencil skirts and my tucked in tops, or body suits.

@Arabesque Welcome! I love the simplicity of the black dress.

Sorry to anyone I missed!

I’ve enjoyed this thread so much & decided to be brave and upload some images from the last month. Summer here hence the strappy dresses. Oh yeah, I’m a bit partial to black. Ha!
The day I reached my goal weight about five weeks ago. Off to the theatre to see my niece who dances with a contemporary dance company.

Two weeks ago. Ignore the unmade bed. At my mother’s before going to my two 6yr old nieces’ first ballet concert - lots of skipping around in circles.

Just around the house today. Super casual. Still have thighs 😜. Four kg below my goal weight. So much for maintaining.

@Arabesque, I looooooove the first striped dress with the flared skirt! I WANT.

But...what I really, really, really want is your bathroom. I love the styling in there!!!!

My thoughts exactly - on the bathroom. Great textures and material appointments.

Christmas themed dress for a Christmas dinner

Ms. Elcee, you rock this dress! Looks like you and I had great fun in the hosiery department... What a pretty figure. The red lipstick is a wonderful pop on your beautiful porcelain skin. Wow.

Official Christmas outfit for varies holiday events this past weekend and next... Thankfully, guests are from different groups or organizations - SO I won't be caught wearing the same dress twice. Haha. Today is my One Year surgery anniversary. What a difference a year makes. I am amazed to be wearing a size 8 dress here. It is totally mind boggling. AND, there is now space between my knees and I can see my shoes! Fun.

Yep, I did! Well, I already had the top and boots, it was just the skirt I was trying. I bought a second skirt in the same general style, in a polka dot pattern, as well. And a pair of jeans, and some white pants, and some sneakers. I spent close to the same amount on myself as I did on the gifts I went there to purchase. Woooooooops.

I like the tailored suit I wore, it was fine, but I’ve been actually feeling a bit bored with them. I’m considering getting a dress form when my weight stabilizes (goal is in 17lbs) so that I can mod my clothes (mainly my thrifted finds and whatnot). I have no idea what that will look like. But I have a background in the arts, including in costuming for short run theater (among other artsy things), and work in a creative field, so I can get away with pretty much whatever I want. I’m thinking small touches here and there - like buckles, contrasting stitching, etc.

Here are the other two pieces I bought. Again, Shapewear will be my friend. Darned saggy tummy!

Glad to see the Aussies posting more. 🇦🇺

@ms.sss & @DaisyChainOz I lived in New Farm for about 14 yrs then bought a few hundred metres down the road in Teneriffe 5 yrs ago. Brisbane is such a fantastic city to live. Still small enough that people know each other & doesn’t take hours to get from one side of the city to the other but it’s big enough to have great dining, theatre, shopping, sports, ...

Blair Bowden at the Wesley did my surgery @DaisyChainOz He did my friend’s surgery & she recommended him. My GP said she’d heard nothing but good things about him. He was great. After the surgery he gave me a picture of my stomach all marked up before it was removed as a souvenir 🤣. It may be easier for all the post surgery visits to use a Bris Dr.

@Sophie7713 you look so bright & cheery in your Christmas party dress and look how great you are looking.

Teneriffe is a great place to live, I adore those old warehouse convertion apartments, so much to do in the inner riverside suburbs of Bris, I miss it heaps and the river.. and jumping on a CityCat going to GOMA or Riverside but hubster is happier out here *sigh*

Thanks for the recommendation, I will try to make an appointment and see how we go, but as I am starting a new job in Jan I can't take the needed time off till mid year next year unfort.

      Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
      1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

        All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

      I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
