JanJan19 205 Posted July 17, 2019 Recently passed 50 days post op & finally hit 30 pounds lost. I was firmly stuck in my exact same size 20 pants for most of that 30 pounds, not even loose. Finally, finally I moved into the "smaller 20's" and then bam, just a day or two later those smaller 20's were sliding off and I'm down to an 18. Zero issues to report. Really zero issues since a day or two post op. I'm past the first month anxiety of freaking out because I DON'T have issues. I don't think even think that hard about any of this most days. Yes, I count every calorie & log it all with my Protein & Water but I'm already doing that without thinking much about it. I still see yummy pastries at the coffee shop & think "that looks great" but it's not in my carb/calories/protein so my next thought is "can't have that" and that's it. And I LOVE food. I do, but being off sugar and having a reduced stomach size has made all the difference. My fingers are firmly crossed that this is working. 4 1 ARMoma45, Cheeseburgh, gwoodgm and 2 others reacted to this

ValerieInMexico 162 Posted July 17, 2019 Really great progress. So encouraging to hear. Good luck and hope that you continue to feel that way. I met a person last month that has not had a cookie or sweet for the entire 4 years since their RNY. It just does not appeal to them anymore. It seems to work for some people that way. Maybe your one of the lucky ones! 1 ARMoma45 reacted to this
Lynnlovesthebeach 626 Posted July 17, 2019 Congratulations on your progress so far. I like your attitude. I had no issues either and I'm 9 months out. I just did what I was told to do and didn't' worry if I had an occasional day where I may have been a little low on Protein or Fluid. I figured if I was doing my best that's all I could ask. I didn't compare my weightloss to anyone else. I thought I would reach my doctor's goal in 6 months but I didn't. It took me 8 1/2. No big deal, time is going to pass anyway and it will happen when it happens! I stay away from the stuff that got me to the bariatric service in the first place! Sugar and junk food. After a while it becomes easy to say, "Yes, that looks delicious, but no, I don't want 'just a taste'." 3 ARMoma45, gwoodgm and Colorado Cowgirl reacted to this
