Woah! Summer does not want us cute on the beach 😒 No worries we are going to win anyways

Prayers up! Safe recovery 💜

Details if/when you can

Ha! It’s like karma is tellin me how much a 56 yr young woman with wrinkly skin has no beeswax wearin a bikini top! *snort*

We r gonna slay this summer girl and I can’t wait until you wake up from surgery without GERD! That stuff is miserable and you’ve been handling it like a rockstar and with absence of whining! 🥳 (pssst that should totally be a title of a John Grisham novel!!!) 🎉🎉

Saying prayers for you my friend!!! And FYI I’m firmly on the Solidarity Train with you and your preop liquid diet. Think I have a few days of clears then move to full liquids for a week or two. Dunno the post progression plan yet. Will get that info today. ((Hugs))

Haha! Yes I think maybe you did! I’m s sorry for your experience and have to endure such a painful open surgery and reversal! But I know with your knowledge and experience you will heal and be able to apply that to keeping your weight off for life as you have been doing for so long!! ((Hugs))

So sorry to hear this. It's scary that complications can arise so long after surgery. Wishing you a speedy recovery!

OMG Fluffy Chix, what horrendous luck LIFE just dealt you! So glad Ms. Dr Surgeon was able to fix YOU and do it Laproscopically, open Wounds are never FUN to recover from, as well You Know! Get Better, Get Stronger Again- WE REALLY NEED YOU HERE , not pushing up Daisies or in your case Texas Bluebonnets. Know Orchids and Dragons and I will be keeping You in our thoughts and saying a little prayer or 2.👍😝🌈

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
