Matthew2045 11 Posted July 11, 2019 How long, if anyone, did you wait to try and eat spicy food? I am a big fan of spicy 1 KatieMc reacted to this
Myhorseisfattoo 387 Posted July 11, 2019 Once I could eat regular food, spicy was IN. I love spicy food - Indian, Mexican, Vietnamese, Thai! I eat it all with zero problem!
Ylime 453 Posted July 11, 2019 Same - as soon as I could have regular food I tried a bit at a time to see if I would tolerate it. I did have to sip a bit on Water when eating real spicy food but certainly wasn't drinking full on during a meal.
Orchids&Dragons 9,047 Posted July 11, 2019 It took me a long time (maybe 6 months) before I could tolerate spicy food again. I still don't eat the level of spicy I could pre-op 😥
Cameo325 27 Posted July 11, 2019 I am two months out and cannot tolerate spicy food, I used to love it! Hoping it gets better as time passes.
Starflower 152 Posted July 12, 2019 (edited) My team said spices were fine at 2 weeks but spicy had to wait until 3 months. I tried a little spicy right before three months and did fine but my tolerance has gone down so I’m still working my way back up! Carrunda webb 13 Posted July 12, 2019 I really don't care for spicy foods I just want to know how long you have to wait before you can eat solid foods.
SusieQ2019 567 Posted July 12, 2019 As soon as I was cleared for regular food. I love spicy food, but since surgery I eat it in moderation.
looly 361 Posted July 12, 2019 A month after the op, I was eating lamb sag aloo, chilli con carne, chicken tikka masala, tandoori cod....no problem! As long as I stopped eating before I was full, my new baby tummy didn't mind!
