Hello everyone!! I had my sleeve June 12th, been doing good, following meal plan and all however I am still struggling with my Water intake. I have been losing about a pound a day however yesterday and today I gained a pound. There are no changes in my meal intake, is this normal?

Poop. Poop. Poop. More poop. Water.

Be still and know it will happen! :D

Thx for the responses - I for some reason am hardly ever thirsty - you think bad Water intake may be contributing to weight gain? I know a pound or two isn’t a big deal because it will come off but I guess I’m trying to connect it to Fluid intake so I can force myself to drink more.

Your body really needs that Water to convert fat into energy.

Absolutely normal. Weight is never a "stable" thing but fluctuates depending on your bowel movements, Water intake, sodium intake, etc. I wouldn't worry.

@Sirena2020 Lack of thirst is actually a sign of dehydration. 20-30oz/day is really only 3-4 cups, not enough. Drink-drink-drink

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
